Learn to speak French
As a beginner learning French, you’ll find a little French can go a long way, even where English is the official language. Or maybe you are in discussions where French is the principal or only language and so need to be fully up to speed.
Lingua’s French courses prepare you for all your points of professional contact — social, meetings, presentations, travel, telephone, conference calls, email and more. The nuts and bolts of French are put before you in a clear step-by-step way, with lots of lively activities.
We run one-to-one and group courses online and/or onsite, with regular weekly training sessions.
Some typical skills for beginners:
• Greetings and cultural courtesies
• Saying who you are (e.g. at a reception, or starting a presentation)
• Saying what you do, where you’re from, talking about family, etc
• Choosing a drink or a meal (for yourself and someone else)
• Finding out how much, buying a ticket, asking for a bill
• Asking the way
• On the phone / Teams, Zoom, etc (giving details, taking numbers and emails)
• Meeting people you know and developing a conversation
• Discussing your schedule
• Writing a short email (typical sign-offs)
