Study support and worksheets for the Latin film 'AD 61'

Worksheets

This film is for anyone curious about the sound of ancient

Latin, and especially for students of Latin, Roman

Civilization and any of the Romance languages (Italian,

Spanish, Portuguese, French, Romanian).

You can watch the film with English subtitles, Latin subtitles

or with none.

The background to these interviews are historical events.

It is certainly worth watching the whole film at least twice in

class: the first time can be done after a brief introduction to

the material, with a second viewing after a study of the text

of Tacitus and a reasonable discussion of the material.

Teachers should allocate at least two lessons to the film.
